Nonhlanhla obtained her LLB and LLM degrees from the University of Witwatersrand, for which she received a dean’s list award for the top 10% achievers. She has worked with organisations such as the Socio-economic rights Institution (SERI) and the Wits Law Clinic. Nonhlanhla completed her articles at Van der Merwe & Robertson Attorneys. She worked in all departments namely litigation, commercial, mortgage bonds and conveyancing. She is now appointed as the director and national head of the mortgage bond department. Nonhlanhla finds her inspiration from strong black woman such as Winnie Madikizela-Mandela and Thuli Madonsela who have fought against all odds for what they believed to be just and equitable.
