As of 01 January 2020 if you have lost your title deed and want to apply to replace it:
- The application in terms of Regulation 68(1) and (2) of the Deeds Registries Act, must be published in a prescribed form in a newspaper circulating in the area within which the immovable property is situated.
- The application shall then lay for inspection for a period of 2 weeks from date of publication at the Deeds Office, and anyone who has an objection may object to the application.
- Proof of the advertisements must be lodged together with the Application in the Deeds Office after the expiry of the inspection period in the Deeds Office.
